State Budget 2011-12: Supporting our Community - Budget boost for Falcons

The State Government has provided $400,000 to VenuesWest for the development of the West Perth Football Club facilities at Arena Joondalup.
Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron said the funding would ensure the facilities at Arena Joondalup continued to deliver services to the football club and for the fast developing region.
“The funding will provide improved player fitness facilities and better briefing and meeting rooms,” Mr Waldron said.
“In addition, the money will fund signage replacement, scoreboard renovation, change rooms, better lighting, new goal posts and some additional seating.”
The Minister was delighted to assist West Perth Football Club with the improvements at Arena Joondalup.
“I hope these new facilities will make this great club even greater,” he said.
As a key supporter of the West Perth Football Club, Energy Minister and North Metropolitan Region MLC Peter Collier welcomed the funding.
“This will provide essential financial support for the club to ensure their player facilities get much-needed improvements,” Mr Collier said.
