People from Goldfields Esperance organisations have new opportunities to gain insights into writing and managing successful grant applications through a series of affordable workshops being held in the region.
The workshops are designed to provide the skills to develop high quality submissions when applying for grants funding, ideas for public relations activities and guidelines for the successful management of grant funds.
Member for Mining and Pastoral Region, Hon Wendy Duncan MLC, welcomed the programme, saying, "These workshops are planned to allow community groups and organisations time to hone application and management skills prior to the next round of Royalties for Regions funding.”
“Attendees are encouraged to take funding applications they are developing with them to the workshop." Ms Duncan said.
The workshops are hosted by the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission and Regional Development Australia Goldfields-Esperance. Workshops will be held during September 2011 in Kalgoorlie, Ravensthorpe, Esperance, Leonora and Warburton, and are presented by Jodie Mortadza, Principal Consultant of Consult Innovate Create.
