More affordable land on offer for Broome, Duncan

The Hon Wendy Duncan MLC, Member for the Mining and Pastoral Region has today welcomed the announcement by Minister for Regional Development; Lands, Brendon Grylls, of the further release of land at LandCorp’s Waranyjarri Estate at Broome North.
Ms Duncan said that the State Government’s recognition of more affordable land options being needed in Broome saw the release of the first blocks at Broome North some 10 months ago.
The new release next week would see an additional 50 lots available at the Estate, comprising of 11 medium density and group housing sites as well as 39 single residential lots.
Ms Duncan said that it was important that blocks were released for a variety of housing configurations giving singles, couples and families the opportunity to build their own home whilst investing in the town.
Successful purchasers may also be eligible for up to $24, 845 in rebates made up of an $18,595 Federal Government Housing Affordability Fund Payment, and a landscaping rebate from LandCorp, subject to conditions and availability.
“Waranyjarri Estate at Broome North is an eclectic development which will have its own display village, a network of walking and cycle paths and public open spaces whilst respecting the cultural and environmental heritage of the area,” said Ms Duncan.
“LandCorp is also seeking submissions from parties wanting to buy multiple adjoining lots which can capitalise on a higher development potential.”
