Lands Minister Brendon Grylls today announced a project partner had been chosen as LandCorp’s development partner for the northern parcel of Eglinton.
Satterley Property Group (SPG) had been selected to develop the project site located two kilometres from the coast and east of the newly extended Marmion Avenue.
Mr Grylls said SPG and LandCorp would work together to plan for about 3,000 lots (7,500 people) within a contemporary planned community that addressed current Government priorities of land availability, increased density and affordable living.
“They have demonstrated the ability to produce residential developments that can cater for young couples and families incorporating affordable land and housing options without compromising on quality,” he said.
“It is important that the development partner can deliver land quickly to the market while adhering to the strict design and environmental requirements of the project and SPG has the previous experience to meet these requirements.”
SPG will be required to finalise a Local Structure Plan over the 240ha of land at Eglinton and to manage and deliver the development and facilitate the sales over the northern parcel of some 120ha.
