The Nationals launch TV campaign calling for candidates

The Nationals WA today launched a television campaign to recruit candidates for the 2013 State election.
The advertisement will run on commercial television networks throughout regional WA and features The Nationals leader Brendon Grylls, The Nationals WA State president Colin Holt and Member for the Agricultural Region, Mia Davies.
Mr Holt said the party was looking for candidates prepared to stand-up for regional WA and to champion Royalties for Regions.
“We are looking for people who are passionate about regional communities, who believe in the potential of regional WA, and who want to join the team that is giving regional WA a voice,” Mr Holt said.
“Now’s the time to decide if you like what The Nationals represent and what we do on behalf of regional communities.”
The Nationals gained the balance of power in 2008 and have been in charge of delivering on their key election commitment, Royalties for Regions.
Royalties for Regions has invested more than one billion dollars in infrastructure and services across the State, including the Country Aged Pension Fuel Card, the Ord-East Kimberley expansion a boost to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, housing in the Pilbara, accommodation for students, and funding for rural health services.
The television advertisement will air for the first time on Sunday January 22.

Nominations are now open for all regional Legislative Assembly and Council electorates, closing on April 5, 2012.
