The Australian Trucking Association showcased their interactive state-of-the-art semitrailer
in Geraldton on Wednesday as part of a promotional trip from Darwin to Perth.
The Road Ahead exhibition aims to promote the transport industry as a career
pathway for young people considering their career options.
The interactive displays include computer based learning, videos, and interactive
presentations, giving young people important tips about road safety, career
opportunities and the importance of the trucking industry to regional Australia.
“The travelling display provides an opportunity for regional and remote young
people to participate in a hands on interactive learning experience,” Mr Woodhams
said.
“It not only provides information on possible career options, but also provides
important road safety education and I am hopeful that with continued support, the
travelling exhibition will be able to return to our region to complete a
comprehensive tour of our schools and communities.”
