Nominations for Federal candidates to close

The Nationals WA will close nominations for the next Federal election on Friday 6th November 2009.

Hon Colin Holt, State President, said the new Nationals of Western Australia had demonstrated that small, independent parties can be a powerful element in any political landscape.

“Independence was the Party’s platform before the State election and it will be the rock on which the Party builds its Federal campaign in Western Australia,” Mr Holt said.

“We are now closing nominations for the Senate for the next Federal Election.

“Prospective candidates should be strong and committed to providing Western Australia with their seat at the decision-making table in the nation’s capital.”

Nominations should be received into the State Secretariat by close of business on Friday 6th November 2009.
