Waldron welcomes new GROH housing

Terry Waldron MLA, Member for Wagin is very pleased to welcome the arrival of three new Government Regional Officers Housing (GROH) to Pingelly next month. 

Mr Waldron said the houses have been funded through the Government’s Royalties for Regions Program, once again demonstrating this program is delivering direct benefits to country people.
“This standard of government employee dwellings are a fundamental requisite for our regional communities and it will further encourage government workers to the region,” Mr Waldron said.
“Key government workers such as teachers and police play a crucial role in country communities and good housing is critical to attract and retain the right people,” he said.
“Quality housing is important for the provision of essential services and service providers to our country towns encouraging more people, industry and employment to the area,” Mr Waldron said.
 “These three new houses are being built in Albany and is the beginning of some nineteen to be delivered to our region by the same company,” Mr Waldron said.
“It is anticipated the three houses will be delivered to Pingelly within the next month and I look forward to visiting to see them in place,” he said.
