Director General appointed at Regional Development and Lands, Grylls

Regional Development and Lands Minister Brendon Grylls today announced the appointment of Paul Rosair as the inaugural Director General of the Department of Regional Development and Lands.
Mr Grylls said Mr Rosair had been the Acting Director General of the department since it was established on July 1 last year.
“Mr Rosair has led the development of the department from its first days, successfully bringing together key areas of responsibility vital to the future growth and development of Western Australia,” he said.
“He has been a driving force in planning and implementing Royalties for Regions’ projects and has guided the introduction of major initiatives throughout the State.
“He has also brought new focus to the importance of key areas of the State’s land portfolio and services including pastoral lands.”
The Minister said Mr Rosair had extensive experience in the government sector including as the Director Major Regional Projects with the former Department of Local Government and Regional Development.
He had previously held executive positions as Director of Regional Operations at the Department of Water and the former Department of Environment.
“I am pleased Mr Rosair has accepted the position of Director General and look forward to working with him on the major initiatives he will lead as head of this important department,” Mr Grylls said.
