A new $150million Nickol Bay Hospital for Karratha will form an important part of an almost billion-dollar investment into the Pilbara Region from Royalties for Regions over the next four years.
The member for the North West Vince Catania said that $977million would have been invested into the Pilbara region to the end of 2013-14 through Royalties for Regions, revitalising towns and addressing the lack of services and infrastructure.
“This is the vision of the Liberal-National Government for the Pilbara Cities project and the delivery of a new Nickol Bay Hospital is just the beginning of making the Pilbara a vibrant community.” Mr Catania said.
“To encourage people to live and work in the Pilbara the Nationals WA have delivered on their election commitment to provide funding for the Regional Workers Incentive Scheme with $110million being provided over the next four years.”
“This will provide our essential workers with the necessary wages to encourage them to consider long term employment and to live in the Pilbara region.” Mr Catania said
