Have your say at Mid West Energy Consultations, Davies

Member for the Agricultural Region Mia Davies is encouraging people in the Mid West to have their say about proposed electricity upgrades in the region.
Western Power is holding a series of public forums in Geraldton and Three Springs during July to discuss the proposed construction of a new 330,000 volt transmission power line between Neerabup and Eneabba.
Ms Davies said these forums provide a chance for landowners, businesses and community members to have their say.
“This is an opportunity to find out more about this project, raise any questions and provide feedback on essential infrastructure for the region,” Ms Davies said.
Consultation forums will be held in the following locations during July:
- Perth Industry and Stakeholder forum (Tuesday 13 July 2010
- Perth Open Forum (Tuesday 13 July 2010
- Three Springs Open Forum (Wednesday 14 July 2010
- Geraldton Open Forum (Thursday 15 July 2010).
Individuals can also lodge a formal submission commenting on Western Power’s proposal or outlining an alternative option for a new transmission line.
Submissions close at 5pm Wednesday 4 August 2010.
