Exploration Incentive Scheme proves to be gold for miners: Holt

State President of The Nationals WA, Colin Holt has welcomed the recent announcement of a significant Gold reserve found as a result of the Royalties for Regions „Exploration Incentive Scheme‟.

Beadell Resources has been investigating land holdings 750km North East of Kalgoorlie, made possible through assistance from the Royalties for Regions program.

“This find shows the value of the scheme to the region and the WA economy, finds of this nature help to generate jobs and have massive flow on effects for the state‟s economy,” said Mr Holt.

“In difficult financial times the Exploration Incentive Scheme, gave security to employers and employees which resulted in jobs and families being protected. This find in WA‟s West Musgrove Region, is a healthy dividend on the State‟s investment,” said Mr Holt.

The $80 Million Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) is designed to encourage private sector resource exploration through a number of programs including funding to support innovative drilling in Greenfield sights.

“The Nationals WA pursued the Exploration Incentive Scheme as a key election commitment in 2008, and the widespread uptake of the EIS demonstrates there was a need and it is terrific to see such great successes resulting,” said Mr Holt.
