Hats off for cricket spectacle, Holt

Nationals’ Member for the South West Region Hon. Colin Holt has congratulated all involved in the massive success of the domestic one-day cricket match which took place on Saturday at Hands Oval.

“It is terrific to see world class sportsman gracing our fields in regional Western Australia, and I commend the Western Australian Cricket Association for bringing an event like this to Bunbury,” said Mr Holt.

“Regional Western Australia is a known breeding ground of world class sports people.” “The ability for young athletes to see their heroes in the flesh, goes a long way to encouraging an active lifestyle and involvement,” said Mr Holt.

“The warm conditions and other events in the region may have kept away fans, but the flow on effect of such an event on the community is immeasurable.”

“The WACA must be congratulated, and I hope to see many more domestic matches in Bunbury in the future,” said Mr Holt.
