Darren Moir
Deputy President
Darren is a Farmer in the Amelup district of the Great Southern. After finishing his schooling at Borden Primary and Christ Church Grammar, Darren completed a Bachelors Degree at the Faculty of Agriculture UWA before returning to the family business.
Darren's has had a long term involvement in the National party, serving on the Young National executive 2001-2004, as Young Nationals President from 2004-2007, State Treasurer 2008-2009 and currently as State Deputy President.

Ian Robertson
Male Delegate
Ian owns and operates a mixed sheep and grain family farm south-west of Kojonup. His wife Debbie works off farm as an accountant in a large rural accounting practice. For past 21 years Ian has been the Manager/Stud Master for Merinotech (WA), which is a cooperative stud breeding group committed to measurement and strong scientific research in the Merino sheep industry.
Ian studied at the University of Western Australia and returned to the family farm in 1986 with a joint Honours degree in Philosophy and English – useful qualifications for someone interested in vigorous and logical debate!
Ian and his family have a long history of community involvement – including the Apex Club - of which he is a Lifetime Active Member, the local bushfire brigade and various agricultural/research groups, with a strong emphasis on building productive partnerships between farmers and scientists and researchers.
He is committed to the survival of robust, viable rural communities and believes there is a need for strong rural and regional representation in parliament.
Ian has been Kojonup Branch President for more than 20 years and has held a number of party positions including Policy Director and two terms on the State Executive.

Alan Cochrane
Male Delegate
Alan together with his wife Danielle own and operate a small coach charter business based in Newman. Alan first moved to the Pilbara in 1980 as a 24 year old to work in the mining industry with the hope of being able to pay off a second hand car. With that well and truly out of the way he started up his own workshop and transport business in 1987 which eventually evolved into the coach charter business that it is today. Alan has also spent 10 years in local government being Shire President of East Pilbara for 9 of those years until retiring in 2005 but is still involved and interested in many community groups and the continued sustainable development of the region. Having married 2003 Alan and Danielle have two young children.

Leigh Hardingham
Treasurer
Leigh is a private consultant in the field of community engagement and community development working with clients delivering construction projects in regional and remote areas. Her family have a mixed farming enterprise in Corrigin where she grew up and raised her family.
From 1999 – 2003 she coordinated Western Australia’s peak leadership training programs delivered through the State Government. A background in both the public and private sector, in regional small business, agriculture and community development helped shape Leigh’s determination to help enable quality political representation for all Australians especially those in remote areas of Western Australia.
Leigh has served on the State Executive since 2004 including as Vice President from 2005 – 2007 and two terms as Treasurer 2004 – 2005 and 2009 – current

Jacqui Boydell
Policy Director
Jacqui was educated at St Mary Star of the Sea in Carnarvon Western Australia before attending St Bridgets College in Perth as a boarder.
After studying Journalism and attending the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Jacqui moved to London where she worked for a period of time before returning to Carnarvon.
Jacqui hails from a strong and active family passionate about the development of regional Western Australia. She has long been an advocate for community participation and regional development, and has played an active role in the development of many projects within the Gascoyne region. Her personal belief that regional Western Australian’s needed a stronger voice and representation in Government saw her join The Nationals in 2007.
Jacqui started her career in regional radio; she has also worked in varied roles both within the media, local & federal Government and has also, along with her husband Phil, developed a small horticulture enterprise with the Sweeter Banana Group in Carnarvon

Michael Rose
Young Nationals President
Michael grew up on the family dairy farm in the South West region of WA. After completing a Degree is Agribusiness at Curtin University he has worked in various marketing roles in agriculture.
He is currently the Branch manager for Elders, based in Corrigin. Michael is very passionate about agriculture in Western Australia and that is the main reason he joined The Nationals in 2004.
Michael contested the seat of Murray-Wellington at the 2008 State Election and is currently the President of the The Young Nationals WA, a role he has enjoyed since early 2009.

Marty Aldridge
State Director
Marty has lived and worked in the Agricultural Region all of his life. He was educated in Merredin, Gingin and Moora and has undertaken studies at Charles Sturt and Curtin Universities.
Marty first worked in the agricultural industry before serving ten years as a volunteer and later career firefighter with FESA retiring as a Senior Firefighter in 2009. He pursued a career in politics standing as candidate at the 2008 state election in the Agricultural Region and accepting a position as Senior Policy Adviser to Hon Brendon Grylls MLA, Minister for Regional Development; Lands.
Marty is now the State Director of The Nationals WA. He believes The Nationals are the only political party that can provide effective representation to WA’s regional communities and that these communities need representatives that are not blurred by city dominated and focussed political parties.
