About Terry

Tuck is proud and honoured to represent the people and communities of the Wagin electorate as the local Member, also serving the State as a Government Minister.

In addition to representing the region since 2001, he has also been prominent in the area through business, and his strong involvement with cricket, football and other sports.

Tuck was raised on the family farm at Jingalup, south west of Kojonup, educated at the Jingalup Primary School, and later attended Hale School in Perth.

Before being elected into State Parliament in 2001, Tuck was General Manager of the WA Country Football League, managed his own real estate business in Kojonup, was a Sports Development Officer for the Great Southern area, and was also a farmer.

His interest and talent for sport saw him playing league football and A Grade cricket in WA and SA. He was captain of the WA Country XI from 1980 to 1991 and played 21 matches against international cricket teams. In addition, he captained the Australian Country XI from 1988 to 1990.

He believes that his role as a parliamentarian has provided him with the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives, by assisting local community groups, upgrading facilities and using Parliament to highlight and address local issues that affect his region.

As well as putting all his energies into the Wagin electorate, Tuck looks forward to spending time with his strongest supporters - wife Noelene and his four daughters, Jemma, Kelly, Bonnie and Jessica.
