Member for Warren-Blackwood, Terry Redman extends his congratulations to Manjimup Senior High School on the outstanding exam results achieved after it was recently revealed they ranked eighth of all WA schools.
“It is very encouraging to see a regional public school achieve such a high average exam result in the Year 12 end of year exams,” Mr Redman said.
“This achievement is a real credit to the students who have obviously taken their studies seriously. It is also a reflection of the high calibre of teaching and the supportive learning environment at the school.”
Mr Redman said the results highlight the dedication of the school staff in creating a stimulating and positive environment where students are encouraged to do their best. The school’s commitment to pastoral care, extra-curricular activities and a culture of excellence have all contributed to the high reputation of the school.
“In a time where there is strong public outcry over McGowan Labor Government funding cuts to regional education programs such as Schools of the Air and schools camps, it is gratifying to see a regional school perform at such a high academic level,” Mr Redman said.
In the Warren-Blackwood region, Cape Naturaliste College and Denmark Senior High School also achieved high academic results putting them in the top 50 schools in the State.
