Road safety strategy failing regional motorists after horror weekend

A horror weekend on WA roads has prompted Nationals WA MP Martin Aldridge to call for an urgent review of the State Government’s road safety activities.Mr Aldridge accused the State Government of sitting idly on more than $140 million of road safety funding while regional motorists were losing their lives.

Huge uptake for Emergency Services Volunteer Fuel Card

More than 86 per cent of eligible emergency service volunteer groups across regional Western Australia have applied to receive the Royalties for Regions-funded Emergency Services Volunteer Fuel Card (ESVFC). Applications closed for the card on January 10, six weeks after they opened in November, and saw a staggering 807 out of 933 eligible organisations apply for the ESVFC.

Final Stage of upgrades to Denham's water supply scheme complete

Water Corporation has completed a $7.8 million suite of projects to improve Denham’s water supply scheme, including the construction of a new water storage tank for the town.Member for North West Central Vince Catania said the new 200,000 litre capacity tank was the last project to be completed as part of the suite of upgrades.
