A Katanning farmer, businessman, husband and father, Peter Rundle is excited and humbled at the opportunity to represent the people of Roe in the lead up to the 2017 State Election.

Off the farm, Peter boasts a strong background in regional development, being appointed as chair of the Great Southern Development Commission by Brendon Grylls in 2009.

In 2011, Peter was appointed as a member of the WA Regional Development Trust – an independent group tasked with providing direction to the State Government on the future of Royalties for Regions.

The Electorate of Roe encompasses more than 106,000 square kilometres, stretching from the agricultural heartland of Williams and Narrogin through to the coastal hub of Esperance.

Peter believes a large and diverse electorate brings equally large and diverse opportunities – including improved health services, greater access to telecommunications, and massive potential for tourism and economic development.

In his role as chair of the GSDC, he has helped to deliver many successful Royalties for Regions projects and wants to ensure Royalties for Regions continues to be used for the betterment of regional WA.

Outside of work Peter is an avid sportsman and loves to have a hit of tennis, squash or golf. He and his wife Andrea have two sons, James and Sam.

Peter was elected as the Member for Roe at the 2017 State election.
