Based in Bunbury since February 2016, the RAC Rescue Helicopter responds to incidents including motor vehicle crashes, farm or industrial injuries and search and rescue missions.
The chopper provides critical care medical services to people 24 hours a day, every day of the year, saving hundreds of lives across the South-West, Peel and Great Southern regions.
Since February 2016 the chopper has completed over 400 missions, with 65 percent of these in response to road crashes.
This service is critical in delivering patients to the care they need in the shortest time possible.
So far Royalties for Regions has funded $29.5 million towards the Bunbury based service, but from the end of this financial year onwards, the forward estimates show that the Labor Government has not allocated any further funding.
Help us keep this life saving service flying!
