The Nationals have a fair proposal to return the State Budget to surplus and strengthen economic development by increasing an outdated Special Lease Rental in State Agreements.
The Nationals WA have identified a charge in WA’s legacy iron ore State Agreements which has not been updated since their introduction in the 1960s.
While charges and fees have risen for every West Australian household, the 25 cent Special Lease rental has not be reviewed or increased for 50 years.
We believe it’s time these outdated State Agreements were modernised to reflect current industry and economic practises.
