Member for the Pilbara, Brendon Grylls MLA, has today reaffirmed his intentions to remain in State Parliament and continue to represent the families, businesses and communities of the Pilbara region.
“The consistent attacks on Royalties for Regions over the past few months have strengthened my resolve to recontest the Seat of Pilbara in the upcoming State election,” Mr Grylls said.
“My commitment to the Pilbara and Royalties for Regions is as strong as ever and I want to remain in State Parliament to continue to ensure that the spirit and integrity of the program is maintained for many years to come.”
Mr Grylls said The Nationals WA had a strong chance of increasing their Federal representation at a possible July 2 election.
“A double-dissolution election provides a unique opportunity for The Nationals WA to gain a Federal Seat, and I look forward to working with our Federal candidates on the campaign trail in the coming months.”
The Nationals WA will preselect Federal candidates at a meeting of State Council on May 1.
