- Gavin Robins appointed director of Gascoyne Development Commission
- Terry Hill appointed director of Pilbara Development Commission
Vince Catania Member for North West Central welcomed the appointments of two directors at the Gascoyne and Pilbara development commissions.
Gavin Robins has been appointed director at the Gascoyne Development Commission and Terry Hill has been appointed director at the Pilbara Development Commission.
Mr Robins was the managing director at Sovereign Health Care Australia Pty Ltd and was a board member of the Disability Services Commission WA.
“Mr Robins has a background in senior executive and chief executive officer roles and consulting to government and the private sector in aviation and health-related services, including regional organisations,” Vince said.
Mr Hill had been the acting director at the Pilbara Development Commission since February 2015.
“Mr Hill has a well-respected background in executive leadership within the regional development and agribusiness arenas in both a government and industry capacity,” Vince said.
“I would like to thank outgoing acting director Mr Geoff Strickland for his valued contribution to the Gascoyne development commission over the last nine months.”
“I am looking forward to working with the new directors in their roles to lead and support the sustainable development of the Gascoyne and Pilbara region to broaden the economic base, improve social infrastructure and to sustain a rapidly growing residential population,” added Vince.
