Louise Kingston
Candidate for the South West Region
Louise joins the team again for the second time as a Candidate for the South West Region.
Louise was born and grew up in Albany and has a long association with Albany’s Historic Whaling Station (formerly Whale World), her father being the spotter pilot and then manager of the redevelopment.
Louise has worked in the banking sector, for the Small Business Centre Manager in Manjimup where she moved 20 years ago, and as Executive Officer for the Warren Blackwood Alliance of Councils. She now runs a small farm growing avocados, walnuts and sheep, as well as a busy local engineering company. She is a passionate advocate for regional development and making sure regional WA gets its fair share.
In her spare time, Louise has a passion for speedway, being married to a former driver and the mother of four daughters who have raced. In her early life, she hired a car and raced to highlight the opportunity for women in the sport and continues to advocate for opportunities for women.
Through her employment and involvement in numerous local organisations and bodies, Louise has a wealth of knowledge and understands the issues and needs of the South West Region.
