Candidate for Kalgoorlie
The Nationals WA candidate for Kalgoorlie Rowena Olsen will use her experience, expertise and enthusiasm to advocate for families, businesses and communities in the Goldfields.
Through her professional work and grass roots involvement, Rowena has experience working with all levels of government, industry stakeholders and community groups.
As a board member of Regional Development Australia Goldfields Esperance and former Goldfields manager of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy, Rowena understands key issues facing the region.
Rowena and her husband moved back to Kalgoorlie-Boulder, as it’s a great place to raise a family. She is an active member of the local community – volunteering to help organise the iconic annual St Barbara’s Festival, supporting junior netball and as a member of her children’s school board.
As The Nationals WA candidate for Kalgoorlie, Rowena wants to bring more families to the region and show the rest of WA how wonderful and diverse the region is. Attracting more families to the Goldfields will also help address the skills shortage and reduce reliance on FIFO workforces – two major challenges for regional WA.
A regional champion, Rowena is excited to join The Nationals WA team fighting to deliver more job-creating projects and opportunities for Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the Goldfields.
