Candidate for the Mining & Pastoral Region
Tessa is a passionate advocate for regional Western Australia. Born and bred in Carnarvon, Tessa spent several years in Geraldton for schooling and Perth for university before returning to her home town where she works as a program officer for the Stephen Michael Foundation, servicing the Gascoyne Region. In her role Tessa works primarily with regional youth, particularly disengaged youth, to develop leadership skills and empower them to become strong role models in their towns and communities.
She is involved with many community groups and committees including Carnarvon Race Club, Carnarvon Netball Association, Junction Race Club and is currently secretary of the Gascoyne Football Association.
Through her numerous committee roles and as an active member of the Gascoyne community, Tessa has developed a broad network and understanding of issues faced by many residents and organisations in the region. She is determined to generate a loud and clear voice for regional Western Australia in the State Parliament
