The Nationals WA are proud to fight for West Australians who want to have a better life with access to the jobs, services, and infrastructure their community needs; regardless of where they live.

The cost of living, access to basic services and housing, are out of control and out of reach for many West Australians who are sick of excuses from a Labor State Government that has tried nothing and is fresh out of ideas.

We are looking for genuine local advocates who are ready to roll their sleeves up and do the hard work to ensure a better future for their community and the whole of Western Australia.

The future of WA depends on returning our brand of common sense leadership to government and that relies on effective local champions, like you, stepping up to represent your community.

Application for Endorsement form Checklist

To commence your application, you will be required to complete the Application for Endorsement form online (link above). This form will be confidentially examined by the Candidate Selection Committee. The form includes the requirement for Applicants to submit:

  • Current Curriculum vitae
  • Credit Check
  • National Police Certificate
  • Two most recent years of tax affairs, which depending on your circumstance will include:
    • Personal: income tax notices of assessment; income tax account; lodgement report; personal integrated activity statement; or personal activity statement lodgement report. (Generally available through MyGov or ATO Portal)
    • Company: company income tax account; income tax lodgement report; integrated client account; and/or activity statement lodgement report.
  • The details of two nominating financial Members of The Nationals WA
  • Depending on your responses, you may be required to provide supporting documentation of awards, honours, or titles (e.g. Tertiary education, military honours, etc.).
  • You may be requested by the Candidate Selection Committee to provide further details or documentation, depending on responses provided to survey questions.

The form requires prospective nominees to list the birthplace of all Grandparents and Citizenship status. This may require certification by foreign governments that the prospective candidate is not a dual citizen (especially for Federal applications).

The CSC reserves the right seek further information about the prospective Candidate’s background.

Applications are NOW OPEN for the Legislative Council. They will close 27 April 2024.
