The Nationals WA have announced Mia Davies MLA has been pre-selected for the Federal Seat of Bullwinkel at a State Council meeting today.
State President Julie Freeman welcomed the decision and said Mia would continue to be a powerful voice for WA in Federal Parliament.
“Mia has been a formidable force in WA politics, tirelessly advocating for regional Western Australia throughout her career,” Ms Freeman said.
“As a former Leader of The Nationals and Opposition Leader, her influence has been pivotal in shaping the state’s development.
“Western Australia, particularly those across the electorate of Bullwinkel will be well served by a Member who truly understands the true importance of public service.” Ms Freeman said.
Leader of The Nationals WA, Shane Love MLA, also voiced his strong support for Mia Davies, highlighting her exceptional leadership and the impact she has had on the State.
“State Parliament’s loss will be Canberra’s gain,” Mr Love said.
“Mia has been a steadfast leader in the State Parliament, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of Royalties for Regions and making key decisions as a former Cabinet Minister and as Opposition Leader.
“Her track record speaks volumes—Mia is exactly the type of champion we need to stand up for WA in Canberra.”
The Nationals WA have also endorsed South West business owner and qualified boilermaker Cameron Parsons for the seat of Collie-Preston in the 2025 State Election.
Ms Freeman welcomed Cameron to the team and said he would be a great representative for his region.
“Cameron has his finger on the pulse of what matters to families, businesses, and communities in Collie-Preston, as a local tradie, a young father, and a former farmer,” Ms Freeman said.
“He loves his community, he’s always ready to chat, and he is passionate about wanting to see a greater investment in regional communications, paediatric health and mental health services.”
