I am passionate about the Pilbara region where my family have lived for over 18 years and my children were born. I love playing squash and mountain biking, and have been on both club committees. I also love boating, camping and exploring inland.
I believe our communities and our region have incredible potential. As a Civil Engineer with 25 years experiences in drinking water and irrigation systems, roads and housing, oil and gas infrastructure and iron ore export ports, I have a strong understanding of the basic infrastructure our region needs in the future. But I’ve also seen the warmth, resilience, and “get it done” attitude of those that make, maintain and operate these various assets.
Like many Pilbara -ites I feel a sense of frustration at the decline in essential services in the Pilbara, and it is this along with my visions for what the Pilbara can be that has spurred me to put my hand up to represent our region.
