The Nationals WA have today announced their team of federal candidates ready to give Western Australians a real choice on who will fight for their best interests and future.
Four new candidates will join Mia Davies (Bullwinkel) and Paul Brown (Senate) to complete The Nationals WA lineup:
- Bailey Kempton (Durack) from Geraldton is a small business owner with strong community connections in the Mid West;
- Heidi Tempra (O’Connor) from Manjimup, is a dedicated school teacher and previous candidate for the Legislative Council;
- Cam Parsons (Forrest) from Roelands is a skilled tradesman and ran for Collie-Preston in the recent State election;
- Jeremy Miles (Senate) is a media professional and previous candidate for South Perth.
Mia Davies, candidate for Bullwinkel, said the federal team were ready to be a strong voice for the people in their electorates and for Western Australia.
“At this election, there’s an opportunity right across Western Australia to choose grassroots local champions focussed on our communities and people, not the same old political tit for tat,” she said.
“We need people that understand what it takes to create jobs, sustain them and build a stronger future for everyone, not just buy votes with handouts and subsidies.
“Western Australia handed the keys of the Lodge to the Prime Minister and Labor at the last election and there is now an opportunity to send them packing.
“Bailey, Heidi, Cam and Jeremy have the right credentials and I’m looking forward to hitting the campaign trail with them.
Lead Senate Candidate Paul Brown said the Albanese Labor Government had deceived voters across the length and breadth of West Australia.
“At every opportunity, Anthony Albanese has neglected the hard-working people of WA who keep our state moving and prop up the national economy.”
“They have destroyed the viability of our sheep farmers, turned against the shearers that started the Labor Party, and put a handbrake on national prosperity by allowing unions to take control of mine sites across the Pilbara.”
“To be a Nationals’ candidate is to stand up for what you believe in, and our newly endorsed candidates have great experience and commitment to doing just that,” Mr Brown said.
