The Nationals WA are proud to announce the election of new and returning members to their State
Executive.
The recent 2024 State Conference in Bunbury saw members from across WA gather to debate policy,
celebrate achievements, and elect a fresh Executive team to lead The Nationals WA through 2025.
Re-elected as President for a second term is Mullewa farmer and former teacher Julie Freeman, while
former GrainGrowers coordinator and Applecross resident Alan Meldrum will continue as Deputy
President.
Leader Shane Love MLA welcomed the re-elected team.
“Julie Freeman and Alan Meldrum bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to our Party, and
I’m delighted to see them continue in their roles,” Mr Love said.
“Their leadership and experience across business, not-for-profits, and various community organisations
has been invaluable in shaping the direction The Nationals WA.
“Their dedication will be key as we prepare for both the State and Federal elections in the coming 12
months and will ensure we are well-positioned to deliver on behalf of all West Australians.”

President Julie Freeman said it was an honour to continue servicing as President and contribute to the
111-year history of The Nationals WA.
“We remain dedicated to working with our grassroots members to ensure a strong, common-sense voice
both in State Parliament and in Canberra,” Ms Freeman said.
