With Australia Day fast approaching, The Nationals WA Member for the Agricultural Region Martin Aldridge MLC has urged any not-for-profit or community groups with an upcoming Australia Day celebration to contact his office to arrange a free State flag for the occasion.
Mr Aldridge said the State flag was a perfect accompaniment to the Australia Day celebrations to celebrate Australia Day for all that makes this country great.
“We have a number of requests each year,” Mr Aldridge said.
“We supplied 10 community and not-for-profit groups with the State flag, which was a huge success.”
Mr Aldridge said he wanted to reach out to the community and offer to supply the flags to eligible groups.
Eligible groups include schools, local councils, churches, not-for-profit groups or benevolent community organisations such as local sporting clubs, Rotary/Lions, voluntary support services, guides and scouts and exchange students and teachers travelling overseas.
Mr Aldridge said he only had limited supply and urged those interested to get in touch with his office as soon as possible, contact (08) 9576 0141 or freecall 1800 336 905 or email martin.aldridge@mp.wa.gov.au
